The play equipment is appropriate to the development stage of younger babies and helps stimulate learning. Enjoying early games, such as peek-a-boo, clapping and finding hidden objects will be part of your baby’s daily play. There will be opportunities for one-to-one interaction with nursery staff and other children.
Babies will begin to experiment with natural materials i.e. water and sand (wet and dry), as well discovering the pleasures of play dough and paint. This will be closely supervised. They will be introduced to simple puzzles. These activities will occur on a regular basis, either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the routines etc. of the individual children.
The toddlers will continue to access sand, water and painting. They will enjoy using puzzles. These activities will occur on a regular basis, either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the routines etc. of the individual children. We also encourage parents/carers to let us know of things their children like to do at home, such as playing with the train or dinosaurs. This helps to settle the children into nursery more quickly.
